1. Alexander Gilliland. Born on 18 Nov 1724 in north of Ireland. Alexander died in Lincoln Co, NC (form. Tyron on 6 Oct 1798, he was 73. Buried in nr Gastonia, NC.

Alexander first married Frances Elizabeth Baird, daughter of John Baird & Frances.

In 1750 when Alexander was 25, he second married Rebecca. Born on 20 Sep 1733. Rebecca died in 1780, she was 46.

They had the following children:

		i.	Thomas. Born in 1763. Thomas married Mary Allen.
		ii.	Mary.
		iii.	William.
		iv.	Robert.
	2	v.	James (1769-1845)
		vi.	John.
		vii.	Elizabeth. Elizabeth married John Wilson.
	3	viii.	Frances (1775-1862)
